Bob Ashcraft is a U.S. Navy veteran who proudly served for ten years, completing his final tour aboard the USS Tennessee, a ballistic missile submarine. After leaving the Navy in 1994, Bob and his wife, Trudy, settled in the peaceful mountains of East Tennessee, where they’ve lived, worked, and adventured ever since. Surrounded by the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains, they raised three wonderful children and now delight in spending time with their four amazing grandchildren.
Their shared love for the outdoors—especially the Smoky Mountain region—has been a guiding force in their lives. Summers are often spent camping, exploring scenic trails, and enjoying the simple joy of mountain living.
In recent years, Bob and Trudy discovered a passion for creating and writing coloring and activity books that celebrate nature, wildlife, and the spirit of adventure. Their work aims to inspire both children and adults to explore the outdoors and embrace creativity through coloring and storytelling.
Bob is also working on his first non-fiction book, a practical “how-to” guide on RV camping, scheduled for release in late spring or early summer 2026.
Through all their books, Bob and Trudy hope to share the wonder of the Great Smoky Mountains, encouraging families everywhere to unplug, explore, and make lasting memories together.
The name Miss Daisy began with laughter and blossomed into a legacy of love. When Trudy’s parents, Dave and Dolores, retired to East Tennessee, they dreamed of peaceful days surrounded by the Smoky Mountains. After Dave’s passing in 2015, Bob promised to always look after Dolores—just as he had. Along the way, they met Sue, a dear friend who became family. The two ladies were inseparable on every mountain drive and camping trip, earning the nickname “my Miss Daisies.” When Bob and Trudy bought their first RV in 2017, they named it Miss Daisy in their honor.
What started as a family joke became a lasting tribute—to love, friendship, and joyful adventure. Though Sue passed in 2023, her spirit still rides along on every trip, a gentle reminder that life’s best memories are made together.
Today, Miss Daisy’s TN Rentals welcomes guests to relax and reconnect in the Smokies, while Miss Daisy Coloring & Activity Books bring that same joy and wonder to families everywhere. Each page is inspired by the beauty of mountain life—wildlife, cozy campfires, and the simple moments that make you smile.
Trudy, a loving mother and proud grandmother (“MiMi”), brings her creative touch to every project—coloring pages, videos, and stories that inspire imagination in both kids and adults. Bob, a proud U.S. Navy veteran and storyteller, continues to write about RV living and outdoor adventures, sharing practical wisdom and heartfelt memories.

This coloring book is adorable and simple. the coloring pages are easy to color for young hands. simple lines yet ease of coloring for my 4 year old granddaughter. She really enjoyed talking about the animals that she has sene in the woods and the animals that she has not seen yet, but would like to some day. I really like that when we used markers and the colors went through that they did not ruin a coloring page on the backside.

I bought this book for my niece. As we are approaching the holidays, it looked like a cute activity that she could enjoy. And she loves it! Secondly, as this book is focused on Christmas adventures and Christmas is one month away, it is a means to get her excited for the holidays. I have a few other coloring books from this author and this is my favorite one yet! The pictures are amazing and so much fun to color. I never realized how fun a mandala could be. I have been wanting to limit my phone time in the evening and this has definitely kept me off my phone and helped me be more creative! I think I will start on the rabbit pic next, it looks super cute!

A cute little Halloween coloring book to get your child into the fun of Halloween. Easy coloring pages centering on Miss Daisy, a bear, as she gets ready for Halloween and a Halloween party with her spooky friends. Everything is cheerful and age appropriate. There are also mazes and word searches. My four-year-old enjoyed the coloring, the mazes were difficult, but he still tried all of them. The word searches were too difficult, so that's for an older child. Would be a good way to introduce Halloween as the family gets ready.
